It's definitely strong. I've used drug store retinols before and never noticed a thing. With this one my skin is definitely reacting, purging etc...I've had to start with once a week and over a layer of moisturizer followed by another layer of moisturizer. Hoping to increase to twice a month after 4 weeks of use.

I was using the quarter strength retinol for a while now. I decided to make the jump to one percent. I also thought I was smart and used it daily for three or four days. I was wrong, my face was peeling so I knew it was working. I used moisture cream to calm the peeling. Then I got smart and used it like the instructions advise. I like the product, just use one squirt.
